The Weston Mummers perform a traditional seasonal play in and around Weston village, Bath. Our main performance is in the week before Christmas (usually on the Friday) and our circuit also includes some of the nearby villages. See our programme for a complete listing. We also give a lunchtime performance on Boxing Day, which begins with a selection of carols and concludes with a session of music and song.
We make a collection at the end of each performance and the proceeds are donated to local organisations. The list of organisations that have benefited in the past includes Bath Amnesty Group, the Bath Council of Churches Housing Association and Summerfield School in Weston.
The 2001 tours of Weston and Southstoke raised £374.33. This has been donated to Summerfield School in Weston and the Bath Churches Housing Association at Julian House.
